The series is a register of warrants and certificates paid by the Treasurer's Office from 1872 to 1918 as required by law (1866, Ch. 1536, Laws) in an attempt to balance the books of the Treasurer's Office with those of the Comptroller's Office. The information provided in the register includes warrant and certificate numbers; to whom paid; date of payment; on what account paid; and the amount paid.
